Simon McWilliam
Coming from a dance background, Simon's passion lies in bringing movement and music to life on the screen. Seeds has been an opportunity for Simon to fuse his love of dance with his fascination with surrealism in film. Graduating from Swinburne in 2019, Simon wishes to pursue directing for both narrative and music video.
Born in Malaysia, Edward moved to Melbourne in 2016 to study filmmaking and has been pursuing the craft endlessly. With a background of event management, community engagement and an undying love for excel spreadsheets, producing Seeds allowed an environment for Edward to fully utilise his skills. Edward took this opportunity to push for green filmmaking on small film sets and seeks to reduce the carbon footprint of the film without sacrificing efficiency.

Jennifer Aldred
Jennifer Aldred is a sound designer and recordist with an enthusiasm for enriching the aural experience of any film audience. Jenni has worked on many short films and documentaries including It’s Something About the Chook, Smoke, and Purple, as well as the feature-length documentary Forged from Fire. In her spare time, Jenni loves to make things, from film prop replicas to knitted soft toys, and she happily admits her extreme nerdiness when caught re-reading the works of J.R.R. Tolkien for the umpteenth time
Francis Healy Wood became interested in cinematography through shooting skateboarding videos in high school. At Swinburne University he worked extensively in the lighting department for numerous short films as well as the director of photography on several grad films. Francis was drawn to Seeds because of the opportunity to tell a story through dance and camera movement, leaning heavily on visual motifs and design to communicate subtext.

Bridget Webster
Bridget is a writer, director and editor that has been working with film and video for the past 5 years. She is hugely interested in the marriage of music and vision to create new depths of experience and has loved exploring dance as an extension of this in the edit of Seeds. This is her first graduate project at Swinburne University and she is excited to graduate in 2020 with two more films, both currently in pre-production.
Originally from Canberra and dancing from a young age, Jason joined QL2 in 2014 before attending the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2017. Whilst at the VCA, Jason has worked with Choreographers Rochelle Carmichael, Anna Smith, Prue Lang, Sue Healey, Alisdair Macindoe and James O’Hara. In 2018, he traveled to France and Germany with VCA, during which he participated in a five day workshop with Ralph Lemon. This year, Jason has involved himself with dance film-making, creating two films this year and also danced in and choreographed for two films directed . In the future, he would like to continue creating and performing in screen dance works as well as pursing a career in live performance.
